I have no idea what I’m doing. 

That may not be the most inspiring selling point, but it’s true. As a first-time founder, I have been thinking a lot about what being an entrepreneur means to me. I’ve known for a while that I wanted to “start my own thing.” I have ideas after all! Some of them might even be good. But ideas are not a business. I can’t pay my mortgage with my ideas, and they do not keep me warm at night. I know the general destination. I see a few possible next steps. I’m just not entirely sure how to get where I’m going.

So, here is one of those next steps. 

It’s never been easier to just make something (at least with software). I like to write. I like to help people. I like to build things. So, here are all three packaged into one. Maybe it’s just my parents and friends who read this. Whoever finds their way here, I hope you leave with something useful. If I can keep you up to date on a rapidly changing field in five minutes a week, show you something that improves how you work, or give you a little momentum on your own journey, then this is providing real value.

If you’re thinking about building something of your own, the first step is the hardest. That much, I can say from experience. I know I just said it’s never been easier, but easier isn’t the same as easy!

You don’t need the whole map. You just need to take the next step.

You’ve got a new coworker: SpaceXAI dropped Grok Bot and a new frontier model, Grok 4.6, in a two-day span. Grok’s always-on bots can use your tools, remember your preferences, and coordinate while you sleep. If you’ve been curious about your own personal AI agent, this doesn’t come with the same setup burden as OpenClaw or Hermes.

One to watch: GitHub has struggled with the increased traffic from vibe coders, so it’s no surprise to see alternatives emerge. Cursor’s Origin Code Hosting offers repos, pull requests, reviews, and agents in one home. The coding tool no longer wants to help you use GitHub - it wants to replace it.

Mystery model, monster context: A new stealth model, Ox Alpha, is out on OpenCode. It comes with a one-million-token context window, multimodal support, and it’s free for one more day.

No more excuses to leave your friends on read: ChatGPT released an iMessage Plugin. It can now search messages, catch you up, and send replies from your Mac.

Claude Academy is in session: Anthropic released a free learning hub, including 22 courses and 119 tutorials (and more). There’s a path for everyone to up their game.

Skip plan mode: Update this feature flag in your Codex config - it brings the multiple-choice prompt outside of plan mode. A small switch for smoother interactions.

Ax the Claudish: Make writing good, not bad. Here is how you can make a skill to help de-slop your AI-generated text, using Google’s style guide.

Check your work: Here is Anthropic’s guide on how to set up a verification loop. Turn your workflow into skills, and have Claude check and fix its own work.

Stand out from the slop: Apple released App Store asset best practices and resources. Download the Figma, Photoshop, or Pixelmator files and improve your product page header, your search result assets, and more.
